Book Week

Book Week is a special time at Tullimbar Public School, where we come together to celebrate a love of reading and storytelling. Throughout the week, students enjoy a range of engaging activities, including a much-loved costume parade and a vibrant book fair. These events help to spark imagination, promote literacy, and build a strong reading culture across our school community.

Public Education Week

At Tullimbar Public School, we proudly celebrate Public Education Week each year with a vibrant program that brings our community together. Join us for open classrooms where families can explore our engaging learning environments, enjoy a fun-filled community picnic, and witness our special award ceremony recognising outstanding achievements. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the value of public education and the achievements of our students and staff.

School Camps

At Tullimbar Public School, our school camps offer unforgettable learning adventures for Years 5 and 6. Year 5 students embark on an exciting journey to the Great Aussie Bush Camp in Kincumber, where they develop teamwork, resilience, and outdoor skills in a fun, natural setting. Year 6 students experience an educational trip to Canberra, exploring Australia’s capital city and deepening their understanding of history, government, and culture. These camps provide valuable opportunities for personal growth, friendship, and hands-on learning beyond the classroom.

School Sports Carnivals

Our sports carnivals in swimming, athletics, and cross country are exciting events that showcase student talent and sportsmanship. These carnivals serve as important gateways for students to progress through PSSA sports, providing opportunities to compete at higher levels and represent our school with pride. We encourage all students to participate, stay active, and celebrate their achievements in a supportive and vibrant sporting community.

P and C Events

The Tullimbar Public School P&C plays a vital role in our school community by organising a variety of fun and engaging events throughout the year. Starting with the popular disco during ‘Meet the Teacher’ interviews, the P&C also hosts Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls, exciting fundraisers like the Easter raffle and colour runs, and many other activities that bring families together. Their dedication helps support school programs and enrich the student experience, making Tullimbar a vibrant and connected community.

Aboriginal Education and Reconciliation Events

At Tullimbar Public School, we are committed to honouring and celebrating Aboriginal culture and history through a range of meaningful events and programs. Our Aboriginal Education and Reconciliation initiatives include special excursions and activities during NAIDOC Week, heartfelt commemorations of National Sorry Day, and the annual launch of our Reconciliation Action Plan. We also embed rich and authentic Aboriginal perspectives into our everyday learning, fostering respect, understanding, and connection within our school community.

Kindergarten Opportunities

Our Kindergarten programs are designed to provide a smooth and joyful start to your child’s educational journey. We offer a Transition to Kindergarten Playgroup and a comprehensive Kindergarten Orientation to help children and families settle in confidently. Throughout the year, we celebrate milestones like the 100 Days of Kindergarten, and our beloved ‘Pirate Walk’ around Tullimbar Village is a highlight that sparks imagination and community spirit. These programs create a nurturing and exciting environment where our youngest learners can thrive.

School Presentation Day

Presentation Day is a special occasion where we come together to celebrate the achievements and growth of our students throughout the year. This memorable event includes awards recognising academic excellence, effort, and outstanding contributions across a variety of areas. Families and staff join us to honour student success, reflect on the year’s highlights, and look forward to the exciting journey ahead. Presentation Day is a proud moment that showcases the talents and dedication of our Tullimbar community.

Year 6 Opportunities

Year 6 students at Tullimbar Public School enjoy a range of exciting opportunities designed to celebrate their final year and prepare them for the next stage of their education. They receive support to engage with Albion Park High School’s HPGE programs, participate in fun and meaningful events like the Year 6 Fun Day fundraiser, Jamberoo Action Park Fun Day, and the memorable Year 6 Farewell. The highlight of the year includes the educational Canberra Camp. To mark this special time, Year 6 students also have exclusive shirts and jumpers, creating lasting memories and a strong sense of community.
